Quilting Around the Block 

Welcome to Quilting Around the Block.  Quilting is more than a job, it's my obsession!  I began sewing for my dolls with a Singer featherweight (sure wish I still had that machine...) when I was 8 years old.  I pieced my first quilt at sixteen, using scraps left over from my apparel sewing - cotton, corduroy, polyester, velvet - you name it - it went into that first quilt and, today, it would get a ribbon in the "Ugliest Quilt Contest"!  I never made another quilt until well into my adult years and now I've been piecing and quilting longer than I care to admit.  I've been finishing quilts on my longarm quilting machine in Richmond, Virginia since 2002.

My aim is to help you put the finishing touches on your piecework.  I'll turn your piecework into finished quilts that will be treasured for years and generations to come.  I recognize the enormous amount of time and effort it takes creating these tops.  My pledge is to put that same level of effort and creativity into finishing your quilts.

I am available to pick-up and deliver, upon request, at the Richmond quilt shops, this is because most local residents drop off at my studio; however, I am happy to pick up at Quilter's Corner and Quilting Adventures when notified that a quilt is waiting!

Please contact me by phone or email if a quilt has been dropped off at any of the local Richmond quilt shops .  My schedule for pick-up and delivery is every other Thursday. 

If you wish to ship your quilt top, please enclose a worksheet (found under the Services Tab) and mail to address located to the left.  Be sure to phone or email to notify me of an upcoming shipment.
